WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also increases a random substat.
Upgraded gear is generally more useful, unless the item has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like Eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are less important for those with lower requirements due to the need to roll a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any type of weapon or armor. However, the item used for the upgrade will remain in use for a long time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be used to create enchantments.
The upgrader is located in every major city, and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks, to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.
Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item, but they will always be less expensive than purchasing new gear. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item level upgrade [
francis-loomis-2.mdwrite.net] will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. Players can purchase them from item upgraders NPCs for various currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be applied to any weapon, tool or armor. button, which will display a preview of the item at its next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.
The upgrade cost depends on the slot of the
Best item upgrade and current
item upgrade level as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than bracers or gloves, for example. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Certain upgrades provide a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain amount, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.
Upgraders for items are available in a variety of locations, including the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon as well as the possibility of obtaining a new recipe. The upgrade discount increases as more items are upgraded. It can be increased by having players complete certain achievements or quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an upgrader for items at the start unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. Instead, the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades require various methods, which is both an improvement as well as a disadvantage.
In Season 3, the upgrade system was altered a bit, with several new features added. After a player has earned an upgrade to a specific item level for a particular armor slot, upgrading additional items to the same level will cost less, even when they belong to an entirely different set of gear.
The discount applies to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is reduced as well, but is only available once certain milestones have been reached.
Crests
When upgrading gear in WoW, players have a variety of choices. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are the main component of the Dragonflight gear progression system that was introduced in 10.1, and come in four ranks.
The first thing to remember is that crests are only able to be used on equipment of a particular rank, and that each rank has its own requirements for upgrading. The most basic and straightforward upgrade route costs 15 crests while the more complex one requires as many as 20 crests based on the type of gear being upgraded.
Players can obtain crests by finishing content at the appropriate level, which means walking around and doing outdoor activities for gear of lower tiers, raids or dungeons with all difficulties for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses or dungeons for endgame gear. These crests can then be exchanged at an upgrader NPC like Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to obtain the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.
The new currency system isn't difficult to use, but it does bring some changes to the process of upgrading. When a piece has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it will no longer require Flightstones. This allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest possible level on all of their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.
It's also crucial to choose crests in a wise manner, as they are only used for one purpose. For instance, it's a good idea to make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests with the
Best item upgrader equipment you have, and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you're planning to make. This is particularly true for items such as rings and trinkets that occupy several slots. The discount on the account is only applicable when all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
