Components

Selecting an upgrade template in the GUI will allow you to bind it to an item. This will show the upgrade components to which the item can be updated. Each component has a unique experience multiplier. This determines the amount of experience an item will gain when upgraded using that component. Organic components, for example, have a higher multiplier of experience than mechanical components. It is therefore recommended to upgrade using organic components until you have reached the multiplier of experience for the next rank of equipment or weapon, and then move to mechanical upgrades.

Each item has an upgrade maximum number that can be received. The number of upgrades is determined by the rank that can be upgraded and the type of upgrade available to the upgradeable item. Sets
