kinderkraft-pram-3-in-1-set-moov-travel-The Best Double Buggy Strollers

A double buggy is perfect if you are expecting twins, or if you have two children of different age groups. The best ones are simple to maneuver and can deal with rough surfaces and kerbs.

These vehicles also have features like large sun canopy and transparent hoods, and adjustable seats.

1. Baby Jogger City Tour 2 Double

The City Tour 2 Double stroller is the smallest of the Baby Jogger range. It was designed specifically to travel and fits through doors that are standard with its slim and compact design. It's also among the lightest double buggies you can find weighing only 14lb when folded. This makes it ideal for traveling with a baby and toddler because you won't have to exceed the luggage allowances of airlines. It can also be folded into an incredibly small travel bag making it easy to store in the back seat of your car.

The one-handed, Z-shape folding is easy and it's extremely compact once you get the hang of it and takes seconds to unfold. However, our tester found the auto lock a little confusing. As the handlebar wasn't locked into place when you press it, it landed on her legs when she used it. She also thought that the handlebar was on the shorter side. This is especially the case when a large changing bag is hanging from it.

The double stroller isn't as light as other buggies. It comes with a wide range of features, and is among the most versatile double push chair strollers on the market. It can be used with two carrycots (available separately) and has multiple recline positions, and a UV 50+ canopy. You can also add a bassinet to one or both seats and transform this into a travel system.

The four tires made of rubber are great for pavements as well as urban terrain. However, they're not made for off road double buggy-roading. They struggled with gravel and long grass and there was not enough clearance between the wheel bracket and the wheel, so mud stuck easily. Our tester loved this buggy and was able to climb some pretty dirt hills.

iCandy Orange

The iCandy Orange is a premium double buggy that is a top choice in design and versatility. It is an essential item for parents who want a stylish, high-quality double buggy that lasts. The Orange is a stunning, lightweight, streamlined chassis with a large basket that can easily fit 2 car seats. It features an elegant, adjustable canopy that is both water repellent and ventilated. The 2021 update comes with several changes, including improved manoeuvrability and an even better, larger shopping basket with a new bumper bar and leatherette cover. The seats are extremely comfortable and have a sculpted look. They're also adjustable so that they can be placed to meet siblings' needs. iCandy have created the first-ever 'cinema' seating system that allows parents to keep eye contact with both children. They can also be repositioned to face either parent or to face the world.

It's a heavier tandem buggy but it's very easy to use and steer, especially on smooth roads. It's stable in double buggy travel system and single mode, and can be used on sloping ground. It is not as easy to use on public transport as it requires two hands on the handlebar. It's also quite heavy and will not fit in a standard family car boot with the seat attached but this can be overcome with careful planning. iCandy has included the footmuff and changing bag with the price, making this a great value package for new parents.

3. Joie Evalite Duo

This is a tandem stroller which is extremely light. It has two non reversible seats, suitable for children from birth until around 3 years old. The rear seat can also be used to accommodate car seats.

The Joie Evalite Duo double buggy is an excellent option for newbies, as it is both inexpensive and easy to use. It is also extremely lightweight and makes it easier to push for long distances. It also has a high-quality suspension system, which guarantees an enjoyable ride for kids and parents.

This stylish and practical city stroller can be used by twins or a toddler with one or two children with the addition of UPPAbaby's ‘PiggyBack’ board (sold separately). Its sleek frame and compact dimensions make it ideal for shopping malls and crowded city streets. The swivel wheel on the front and four-wheel suspension allows it to maneuver over uneven or slightly rough terrain.

This buggy is also ideal for families who plan to travel, as it can fit a car seat in the back. It features an easy-to-fold system that can be used with a wide range of Joie infant car seats. It also comes with a large basket and comfortable seats for both children. The only downside is that the front seat cannot recline fully, which may be a concern for small babies. However, it's an excellent choice for families seeking a cheap and light stroller.

4. Cybex Gazelle S

This is the stroller you need for twins if you're expecting. It's Cybex first travel system, and it comes with built-in adaptors that allow you to transform from an individual stroller into a double. The upper adaptors are adjustable to your height, while the lower adaptors are twisted and turned over to make it easy to switch from one configuration into another. The Gazelle's seats also recline into a nice flat position and have an extended, large UV 50+ sun canopy which is a must for your children.

From birth, it is mono pushchair double and up to 4 years as double, with the addition of the CLOUD Z i-Size car seat or an additional seat unit or Gazelle Cot, this is the future-ready stroller that will adapt to your family. The new one-pull harness makes securing your child a simple and easy process, especially when you're carrying your baby on your back!

The Gazelle S is unlike most double strollers because it folds down compactly with both seats tucked away. This makes it easy to store at home or even in your trunk. A large lower basket can hold up to 25 lbs of shopping, daily essentials or groceries and a detachable shopper basket gives you more space for all of your purchases. This stroller is extremely versatile and comfortable for families thanks to its harness that is one-pull and large recline. It also has puncture-proof tires so you do not have to worry about flat tires during your adventures.

5. Nipper Double V5

The Nipper Double V5 is a refreshed version from Out 'n' About of the award-winning buggies that can be used on all terrains. It's made for siblings or twins and it has independent reclining seats, compatibility with carrycots and a light frame that makes it easy to maneuver on bumpy terrain.

The adjustable handle's height and rear wheel suspension ensure a comfortable ride for kids up to 22kg. The tough pneumatic tyres, that are easy to clean, also offer a smooth ride when running. The 360-degree swivel can be locked to make it easier to manoeuvre around the town. The one-pedal easy lock brake is also easy to use.

Our test participants found that the Nipper Double is incredibly easy to maneuver, even on uneven terrain or when turning in a busy road. The feature that the seats can be reclined independently was also an enormous hit.

The hoods were also simple to adjust for wind or sun protection. Our testers did discover, however, that they didn't offer an enormous amount of coverage compared to similar to the Baby Jogger City Mini hoods which is why it's worth packing a rain cover just in case.

Overall, our test participants were impressed with the Nipper pushchair double's capacity to allow them to take their twin daughters Sydney and Lyla to all kinds of adventures. From seeing wildlife in the forest or rushing to a park for a playdate they were thrilled. They were also awed by how comfortable and spacious the two seats are with plenty of room for growing toddlers to sprawl out in. The lack of parent-facing seating and the inability of using a car seats with this buggy were noted as a problem by our test participants. They would have also preferred a larger storage space for shopping and other equipment.
