World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. They also boost extra bonuses such as crit chance and PvE damage.

If the template for upgrading a weapon is %, it will be able to gain 3percent of its previous attack damage each time it is upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with the item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into weapons, armor, and trinkets in order to provide an additional stat boost or impact while they're being used. They can be obtained through making crafts, buying from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be used on devices that have slots. The item must be at least upgraded to a blue level before a component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a kind of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or Ascended equipment, as well in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging ascended gear or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it is applied to (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players to make stronger versions of the equipment using fewer Upgrade Crystals than is required to reach the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can modify the attack or defense properties of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades are available to be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them from the cash shop or obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher tier version of the item will be dropped during the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue upgrading their gear even if they're uncertain of how much it will increase after a future reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be costly and it is likely that the item will become obsolete, or even break, in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items that double or even eliminate the possibility of failure, as well as a few upgrades that give an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs boost the power of all nodes within a radius around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways, and we recommend getting them up to level 15 whenever you can.

In the final game you'll find that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade item components that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and provide a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes faster.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and replaced again are the most commonly used. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values that can enhance a stat by. The value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the many Glyphs and there are also a few rare glyphs to be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you will need them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that boosts the stats of a particular set of nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.

Glyphs will boost all nodes that are connected to them, so it is Best item upgrade to put Glyphs in strategic locations on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Druids for instance should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might be able to place them near their critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrade system allows players to increase the stats of specific items by introducing upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Every upgradeable item has a level, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of 385. Each level of an item requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained from completing upgrade items Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab in a crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns a number of Technology Points. These points can be used for leveling up an item. When enough points have been earned, you will be able to claim your upgrade and get its extra bonuses.

When an item is upgraded by a player it is replaced with a new item of the same type. This means that the same armor piece will become a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will have its own set bonus. This could be a problem in that it could make the Item Upgrader mod more expensive if you don't need it.

The upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough tokens in order to do this. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will come with a level 1 base and a totally different set of bonus bonuses. This can be useful, but shouldn't be done often as it can be a waste of resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled several times, increasing their value and allows the player to modify their gear. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or swims like a dolphin). It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time increasing the maximum roll by an increment of 10. This item can be very valuable in PvP, as a perfectly rolled version of it can be worth between 20 and 50 times its value without being upgraded.

Requirements

The item upgrader allows players to increase the level of their equipment (armor weapons, weapons trinkets, and armor) above ilvl385 by presenting the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrading armor set pieces will also increase the defense base of the item, and upgrading weapons will increase the damage base and the strength and dexterity required to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

All items are upgradeable up to five times except for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an object it is at risk of failing. The probability of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to revert back to its original state, which will force the user to spend more materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item is not able to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. In addition the item will be deducted any gained bonuses, including crit chance and attack damage, as well as any additional effects associated with the effect (for example, increased heal over time or the speed of reloading). However, the player can continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon gains an increase in crit chance the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. A new attribute known as Slots has been added to the item definition and the value is recomputed each time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to the value of the base item. For instance an item that is commonplace could have five upgrades at a cost. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items might have different upgrade requirements than regular gear. For instance they may require less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. The player will still need to take each piece of gear they want to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each upgrade will require the use of different ingredients for upgrading.
