Three Wheeled Buggies

Whether you're looking for a buggy to jog with or just a nifty stroller to tackle neighbourhood walks, three wheeled buggies provide great mobility. Their compact design allows them to be maneuvered easily, even in tight spaces.

It was able to withstand cobbles, grass and rough pavements as well as dirt tracks and kerbs. She noted that it was solid to push, and very stable on difficult terrain. Its tyres (which are inflatable so need periodic pumping) offer built-in suspension which was extremely comfortable for my kids.

Another thing to consider is the size and shape. The seat should be big enough for your child to feel comfortable and allow them to lie down. Some three-wheel buggies have the option of lying flat, which allows your child to lie flat and face you, while other buggies only permit a parent-facing option.

Larger wheels mean your buggy will be more stable on uneven terrain, which is ideal for off-road buggies. They also make it easier to manoeuvre the buggy through tight spaces. Many three wheeled buggies have the front wheels that swivel to aid you in maneuvering around tight corners, while others are designed for running and have fixed front wheels that lock to increase the speed and stability with which they can be driven. This also helps when you crash into an unintentional tree root or kerb as the front wheel will lift up to keep you from hitting it.

Many 3 wheel jogger wheeled pushchairs have air-filled tyres that allow them to tackle a broad range of terrains. They are also more flexible than 4 wheelers. They're also lighter. They are prone to punctures, so you will require repair kits and an spare inner tube on hand.

Mountain Buggy Core, Venicci Carbo and the Venicci Carbo lux are among our favorite lightest 3 wheel stroller-wheelers. The downside of having larger wheels is that they can make buggies quite large and can struggle to fit through narrow spaces. This can be an issue if you plan to are using it as a jogger, or need to fit through doorways that are narrow while traveling. Fortunately, many models come with small folding options that let you take off the front wheels to create more compact storage.

Easy to Manoeuvre

One of the primary benefits to a three-wheeled buggy is that it is much more maneuverable especially with a child in the back. The way they are built ensures that the front wheels spin at a quick pace and are incredibly easy to maneuver and are ideal for tricky terrain like cobbles, parks and bumpy pavements as well as dirt tracks.

MFM reviewer Kath tested a 3 wheeler with her newborn and toddler and wrote: "The Terrain was a pleasure to maneuver over tough terrain and the swivel front wheel being particularly helpful. I was also awed by how well it coped with the kerbs, particularly when using the hand-operated brake. It was very stable in the downhills or on a rough terrain."

The only drawback of this great maneuverability is that the three wheel buggy's larger wheels do sometimes mean that it can be difficult to maneuver in tight spaces - something to be aware of especially if you live in a urban area. If this is a problem then a four-wheeled buggy might be the better option for you.
