World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

The item upgrade lets players boost an item upgrader kit's gear rating up to 700 points and give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory before heading to the kiln.

Certain items can be upp'd to increase their stats (like an ideally made breakpoint armour that can be rolled to use in melee PvP) and others, like weapons, don't change much post upgrade and thus aren't worth upgrading.

Weapons

Upgrades to weapons can improve their numerical stats, including attack damage, crit chance, and PvE/PvP damage. They also have a flat bonus which increases the damage they deal per second. A lot of weapons also come with a fixed bonus which is activated when three or more identical weapons are equipped in a group. This bonus may exceed the damage a weapon upgrade alone can do.

The cost of upgrading a weapon is based on the rarity of the weapon and its current level. For instance, an upgrade to a +2 weapon requires two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a gun will increase until it requires a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.

Upgrades to weapons can also change the stats of the base. This is usually a positive aspect, but it may also have negative effects. Upgrades can make things unusable, unless you are exceptionally lucky.

Armor items can be upgraded to improve their effectiveness. For instance, if you have chests or helms, it will boost the defense of its base, while gloves and belts will increase their strength and dexterity. Armor has a rerolling feature for its Enhanced Defense%. This means that it can sometimes reduce its value.

The upgrade template of a weapon will display the new stats that it will gain when upgrading, along with the relative values of those stats. This means that an upgrade from a sword that has 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword would result in the weapon gaining an attack damage of 3. The 3% does not mean that the weapon will hit 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.

A weapon can also be rerolled using the green button with circling arrows in the item upgrader menu. The item will be rerolled and alter its stats but it will not reset the weapon's levels, or tie it to the account status.

Armor

A few tweaks to your armor can make a a huge difference in your capacity to withstand. Certain sets can offer MASSIVE boosts to poison or curse, fire or magic resistance, which makes the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. Generally speaking, the more defense your character is, the more value you will get out of each point of health you have, so it's important to upgrade your armor as much as you can.

You can upgrade your armor by visiting one of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four of them and each one requires you to complete a unique side quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed the main side quest and mastered the fountain that corresponds you'll be able to speak to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrading menu.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels, and the amount of materials and Rupees required to complete each level will differ. In general, you're looking at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu Jellies and ten Rupees for the first upgrade, and then anywhere from five Rubies and ten Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent one. For example the Champion Leathers could be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep pace with a large group of enemies in most cold climates and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded up to +20 defense, granting you enough protection to survive a full on raid with a few friends.

It isn't possible to upgrade armor in the same way as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior then you should concentrate on upgrading your armor for physical power or spell power. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades to use for armor you'll be wearing at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you'll wear for the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town, you can unlock perks for your armor. Generally speaking, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game, such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer However, it is beneficial to have a few improvements to the chest armor and helmets that permit you to sneak past some monsters.

Potions

Potions are substances in bottles that, when consumed give the user a temporary status effect. There are five types of potions, each with specific effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded, enhancing their level of effect. Additionally, the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust to them.

Potion upgrades cost a certain amount of XP, which can be earned by making them on a crafting table or in an Alchemist's chest. However, the upgrade price is dependent on the kind of potion you wish to upgrade, and also on the item's Mark Level and Rarity.

To upgrade a potion to the next level, right-click on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This opens a GUI where you can choose the potions you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they will produce when upgraded. Upgrades to potions can be made in batches of up to five at a single time, and the XP they provide will be added to your current XP total.

Once a potion is upgraded, it will not be degraded until you re-use it, or break the bottle it is stored in. You can also rename the potion by clicking it in your inventory.

There were a few updates to the mechanics of potion in version 1.7.2. For example splash potions now have an average duration of 0.08 seconds (this is not the equivalent of 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display of the item level upgrade). The table of potion now crafted from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. It can be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. Unlike the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions cannot be combined in cauldrons. Also, putting a potion on a full cauldron drains the contents and replenishes the bottle.

Finally, there are lingering potions that are brewed using splash and dragon breath potions. Similar to lingering potions, the can be enhanced by adding redstone to it. The table of potions has been rearranged to appear more like the Java Edition. New potions are also added, for instance, the potion of leaping as well as decomposition.

Trinkets

A trinket is a small and cheap ornament or piece of jewelry. It could be a reference to an object or ornament that serves a function but is not particularly important, such as a tiny thimble. In some cultures a trinket can be used to express affection or friendship between family members.

In addition to weapons, armor and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. These can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Unlike other item upgrader mod upgrades trinkets, trinkets can be traded out at any time without losing their status.

Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of each zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are available with gold, tokens, or fragments from rare trinkets.

Upgrades are a cost-effective alternative to buying a brand new trinket. It is possible to upgrade players for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket will come with the same base ilvl as older one, and have an additional upgrade bonus of 1.

Once the old Trinkets have become no longer useful they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase both their power and value with time. They can also be traded between players, making them an attractive alternative to gold.

Players must upgrade their most valuable items first. This means that the top-in slot items for each class are first upgraded, followed by their secondary gear and finally other pieces of equipment they won't be replacing in the near future (such as rings or cloaks). When choosing the items to upgrade, players must also consider the preferred statistics of their class. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for tank players, then they should upgrade their chest, helm, and shoulders.

Trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher level once they are no longer useful, and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional 1% upgrade bonus. However, a re-upgrade can cause the trinket to be destroyed, unless it is salvaged using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or an alternative salvage tool that is higher-end. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than buying a new one.
