Convertible double prams

If you're looking for a baby folding stroller that can grow with your family, a convertible single double pram is an excellent alternative. These innovative frames, such as the Cybex Aton 4 Twin, can be extended in width to accommodate a second child and will typically have the option for an additional shopping basket or two car seats or carrycots (with upper adapters and lower adapters available) so that you can begin your family with just one buggy and then upgrade to twins without having to purchase a new pram again. Double prams provide more seating and configuration options for pram both children compared to other models. They also offer better weight distribution making them easier to maneuver. They are compact, easy to use and versatile. Cons: Less storage space and less space for both children when compared to other designs.

Tandem (in-line) double prams

The name suggests that tandem prams come with two seats or pram bassinets which are positioned one ahead of the other. Tandem prams are generally smaller than double prams that are side by side. They can also be more maneuverable through doors and public transport. They do not have as much storage and are difficult to access when both seats are in use, especially if your child is in the front seat.

Many first-time parents opt for tandem strollers to protect their investment should they have more children with the same age. Our DUO2 pram is a well-known model. It starts out as a single buggy however, it can be transformed to a twin stroller by adding an additional seat. It also converts back into one pram once your child's older one outgrows it.

Tandem prams come in a range of configurations with the option of infants to sleep in a pram double bassinet on top, while an older child is seated in the seat below. Many can be transformed into a travel unit by adding the car capsule, which is positioned in the top of the seat.

For maximum flexibility, a side-byside double pram allows both kids to take a ride together and interact as they go. This will prevent them from wake each other up.

A side-byside is a great option for grandparents who want to participate in the activities. They can push both children around and help with shopping, running errands, or attending events. They are usually cheaper than a tandem stroller, making them an excellent way to introduce grandkids to babysitting duties.

Single prams

A single pram is able to accommodate one seat or bassinet/carry cot. It is suitable for newborns up to approximately 4 years of age. four years old. Many single prams also allow a toddler board to be attached to the back of the stroller, so that the second child can stand or sit (depending on the type of toddler board) while you push the stroller forward.

Some first-time parents choose to future-proof their pram by acquiring a double pram option, such as our DUO2. This means you'll use the pram sale in a single mode while you have a single child, and then switch it into a tandem double pram when baby number two is born. This saves you the cost and burden of having to purchase an additional double pram.

Tandem or in-line double prams are a bit bigger than side-by-side double prams, but they are more maneuverable on busy footpaths and in shops. However, they are more difficult to use when running and will require more effort to push when you're going up or down hills.

They are wider than tandem or in-line double prams, but they are an excellent choice if your children are in the same age range. The children can see each other and interact from their seats. However, they are not as mobile and might not be able to fit through doorways that are standard as a tandem pushchair stroller.

Non-convertible side-by-side prams are not suitable for use in single mode - you will have to buy a new pram or stroller for your youngest child. They offer the benefit of being less expensive and last longer than convertible double prams, since they aren't designed to be used in single and double modes. The main drawback is that your older child will eventually outgrow the side-byside seat and will need to be moved to a toddler's chair which could be costly.
