What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The item upgrader is an additional widget to the top of both the Angel and Cash Upgrade Windows. The Manager is priced at 33 billion Angel Investors, and has no gameplay benefit other than making it easier to purchase upgrades.

Costs

There are some costs associated with item upgrades. The first is the cost of performing the upgrade. The cost for this upgrade can be costly and is contingent on the new value of the item and the number of perks it receives. It is also costly to upgrade an item to a higher level (such as Explorer > Champion, or Veteran > Heroic).

The other is the cost of materials needed for an upgrade. The items used are typically either Power Dices (dropped by monsters 21and over) or Minerals and Erons (obtainable through completing specific Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor quests). The amount of these items required is available in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.

It takes time to upgrade an item. It can take up to 8 hours, depending on the magnitude of an upgrade. The upgraded item's base stats are calculated using the new ilvl of the item, perks, and other properties. This calculation determines the latest Armor Class bonus, damage dice, and other important stats. In certain cases, an upgrade can grant additional perks. These perks are available in a list.

Rarely, the new perks acquired will cost more than one perk slot; in these situations the upgrade will replace the highest-cost perks. The upgrader may also make other changes to the item, for example, changing the damage type of its weapon, or adding or eliminating an operational or unwieldy function. These modifications are based on the item's ilvl, and may require special materials, for instance adamantine.

Success Rate

Item upgrades are based on an opportunity, and like any random system, there is a chance that the upgrade won't succeed. However, there are a few factors which can improve the odds of success. This includes using an item known as an Upgrade Pity or the addition of extra materials to the upgrade.

The Upgrade Pity can be bought from the NPC for smithing in Lost Ark. It increases the chances of the upgrade being successful by an amount. It is similar to the luck bonus that certain items offer however it is more solid. This can be added to any weapon or armor, and is used three times.

You can also add other materials to the upgrade to increase the chance of success. These are displayed in a window above the + button. However, there are some limitations to this, and the highest amount of material that can be added is displayed right above the + button in the user interface.

Another method to increase the chances of a successful upgrade is to use the item known as the Blacksmith Blessing or an upgraded version of it. This item is useful if your weapon or piece is nearing or has reached the maximum level of its tier. This item allows you to upgrade the equipment to the next tier without risking its breaking.

If an upgrade is unsuccessful it will be restored to its initial state. This is usually a downgrade, but can also be an upgrade. It is a good idea to save an upgrade when you are close to the highest level of an item, and to use it as an emergency.

Kafra offers a variety of products that can be utilized to increase the chances of an upgrade succeeding. Failure Rate
