They're easy to open and close, however I found their plastic textured coatings to be a bit difficult on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with the all the features you'd expect from a refrigerator at this price, including Wi-Fi and app support via GE's SmartHQ software. The app, available for iOS and Android devices, lets you control your refrigerator from anywhere in the world, and offers a ton of customization options. It also gives you notifications when a door is left open, when the refrigerator or freezer is in need of defrosting, and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS came with Precise Fill it's an option in other GE fridges that allows you to choose how many cups of water you'd like to pour out at a time. It does have a countdown on the fridge's display to show how much water you have left, but it's not as useful as Precise fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is a striking piece. It's designed to appear like a seamless piece of your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a vegetable compartment that keeps vegetables and fruits fresher longer, and two compressors for the best food preservation. The Ice maker we tested is one of the most efficient and makes pyramid shaped ice using minimal water. This refrigerator is the ideal option for a single family or kitchenettes who want an integrated look and top of the line food preservation.

This refrigerator was rated as the most efficient in our Refrigerators Test for a variety of reasons. The temperature of the freezer remained stable at just a few degrees Fahrenheit and never moving more than a fraction one degree. This is crucial in preventing freezing burn. The fridge's fridge section also performed well, achieving the desired initial set temperature within an hour and maintaining that temperature steady over the course of our tests.

Bosch is a household name for its high-end appliances. It's therefore no surprise that the Bosch counter depth refrigerator can be connected to your home Wi Fi and Bosch's platform Home Connect. This app lets you monitor and control your fridge from your tablet or smartphone. The refrigerator is costly and has great features and capabilities at a fair price.

While the fridge is an incredible piece of equipment however, it is important to understand the limitations. It is possible to be inventive with tall items since the fridge has a small shelf space. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. Its capacity is superior for a counter-depth model and it cools evenly and has a great layout. It's also a bit cheaper than the top counter depth refrigerator that comes with an icemaker, which makes it a great choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a good option when you're looking for a French door fridge that doesn't break the budget. It's a minimalist design that isn't as visually striking as other models however it comes with enough features to make it a good option. Its main feature is the temperature adjustable drawer that helps keep food items such as meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge ice maker as well as a water dispenser.

The "Chill Drawer", which sits above the two crisper bins, is a great feature. The drawer lets you use some of the fridge's cooling power to the area so that you can keep food items that require extra attention. You can alter this feature by using an adjustable slider that is located just outside of the drawer. You can also use this to adjust the general cooling settings for the entire fridge though I've found that adjusting the generic settings tends to produce better results than specific ones.

During my experiments, I noticed that the temperatures in the refrigerator were fairly consistent across various parts of the fridge. The temperatures in the middle, top and bottom of the refrigerator didn't vary significantly from 38 degrees. This is a good performance, but it does not quite make it to the top of our ratings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also connect this fridge to a smart thermometer to get more precise readings of your fridge's internal temperature.

The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's outside is made of stainless steel with a grey-bodied body with a "smudge-proof" finish.
