World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. They also boost extra bonuses like crit chance and PvE damage.

If the weapon's upgrade template is %, it will be able to gain 3percent of its previous damage each time it is upgraded.

Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item. The cost increases with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, armor, and weapons in order to give them a stat boost or an extra effect. These can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to equipment with a slot. The Item upgrader mod must be at least upgraded to blue level before the component can be used. In contrast to other mods components can only be used one time; they cannot be applied multiple times or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component that is that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment and some of the items that are not ascending back. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging ascended gear or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it's applied to (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of that equipment that require the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than are required to achieve the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defence characteristics of an armored weapon or. These upgrades can be made from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them from the cash shop or getting them from enemies while upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of the item will be dropped in the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to keep improving their equipment, even if they're unsure of the extent to which it will improve after a future reset.

If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process can be expensive, and there is a substantial risk that the item may be obsolete or even break if it fails. A failed upgrade will ruin Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items to double or even eliminate the chances of failure, and some upgrades that offer an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade elements that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs buff the power of all nodes within the area around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in a variety of ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 as soon as you can.

In the final game you'll often discover that the most effective way to upgrade your equipment is to use Glyphs. These are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded up to level 15 and offer significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs, you will have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus that boosts the stats of a specific set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.

Glyphs will boost all nodes connected to them, so it is best to place Glyphs in key spots on the Graph. This will increase the impact. Druids for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may be able to place them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items allows players to boost the power of certain items by adding upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item upgrader kit has a level which determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be leveled to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level requires a different amount of components and the cost of upgrading increase as the item is upgraded.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab of a crafting table. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns a number of Technology Points. These points can be used for the upgrading of an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be able to claim your upgrade and get its extra bonuses.

When an item is upgraded by a player it is replaced with a new item of the same kind. This means that the same armor piece will get an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item comes with its own set bonus. This could be a drawback, as it can cause the item upgrade to become more expensive if you don't need it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can roll item upgrades. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will have a level 1 base and a different set of extra bonuses. This is useful for certain items, but it's not something that should be done regularly, as it can waste many resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled multiple times, increasing their value and giving players the ability to alter their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives buffs when the player repeatedly enters or exits water. This item can be upgraded several times by increasing the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item upgrader mod is very useful in PvP. A well-rolled version could be worth as much as 50x the value of its unupgraded counterpart.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to upgrade the quality of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC who upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces also increase the base defense of that piece, while upgrading weapon items will increase the damage base and the strength and dexterity required to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

Each item can be upgraded a maximum of five times, except for hero gear, which can have eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it is at risk of failing. The rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures will result in the item reverting to its initial state, which will force the user to pay more for materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item isn't upgraded, the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it gained like crit chance attack damage, additional effects (such as a higher healing rate over time or reloading speed). However, the player can continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item upgrade is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that should a weapon gain an increase in crit chance the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand new attribute that was added to the definitions of items. The value is calculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined by its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a standard equipment item might have 5 upgrades with a cost of 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have lower costs per upgrade.

Premium items might have different upgrade requirements than standard gear. For instance they may require fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. Players will still have to take every piece of gear they want to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each upgrade requires the use of different ingredients needed to upgrade.
