3 Wheeled Buggies

A 3-wheel buggy is great for off-road jogging and taking on terrains from bumpy pavements to woodland tracks. They are also easier to maneuver up and down kerbs than 4-wheel models.

Stability

Four-wheel buggies, which have their centre of gravity balancing by the weight of your child in the seat, are generally more stable than three-wheelers. However, that doesn't mean the three-wheel buggie isn't worth considering, since some of them are built to cope with anything from rough terrain to bustling high streets.

Look for a buggy with large rear wheels and one that locks on the front. This will make it easier to drive and less likely to break apart on rough roads. Check that your chosen model can fit into the boot of your car and is able to be stood up, if necessary. Some models can be folded using one hand, and they can be raised when folded. This will save space in the boot of your car.

A quality 3 wheel pushchair is able to cope with any terrain, from busy main streets to tracks through woodlands. It's important to consider what you'll be using it for every day. MFM reviewer Kath found her three-wheeled buggy was able to handle well with urban and countryside walks.
