His next fight took place before a sellout crowd of 5,092 at the Theater of Madison Square Garden on February 27, 2016, against Hank Lundy. "Every belt I’ve gotten I’ve taken from somebody. I beat champion after champion. I’m going through the ringer fighting the best guys in my division. There’s a big difference between facing a champion and someone without a belt. The guys with the belts have a lot more to fight for.

There were those who didn’t believe in him going into the fight with Spence. The narrative from those was old and tired, that Spence was too big, too strong and had too much of a jab for a guy who used to be a lightweight to handle.

Leaving Top Rank following multiple title defenses, Crawford became his own promoter. It resulted in an anticipated undisputed title fight in July 2023 against Errol Spence Jr. Crawford decimated Spence for about nine rounds, knocking him down multiple times to win the IBF, WBA, WBC, and Ring belts. Now, he looks for a new division to conquer.

And unfortunately, they represent a fighter in Errol Spence who didn't want the fight as bad as I did… David Avanesyan is a very tough task. He's knocked out his last six opponents and this guy is dangerous. Once I'm successful against Avanesyan, my plan is still the same: Whoop Errol Spence's a--."

The rematch likely will take place at junior middleweight, marking the debut for both fighters in the 154-pound division. The date and location, along with other details of the fight, were not immediately known.

Crawford literally pushes Porter back without a warning from the referee. Porter getting into more rough and tumble action with Crawford here which is what we’ve used to seeing from him.
