According to CompuBox stats, Crawford landed 26 of his 75 punches thrown (35%), while Indongo landed 13 of 74 thrown (18%). Both boxers earned an undisclosed 7-figure purse. Following the fight, Indongo stated "When he hit me like that, my mind was gone" about Crawford's body shot. Crawford stated that he had yet to make a decision on the next step in his career but there was speculation about him moving up to the welterweight division or defending his light welterweight titles against Mikey Garcia. The card averaged 965,000 viewers on ESPN.

LAS VEGAS – July 29, 2023 – Undefeated three-division champion terence crawford weight "Bud" Crawford emphatically stamped his place in the history books with a ninth-round TKO over the previously unbeaten Errol "The Truth" Spence Jr. to become the first undisputed welterweight champion of the four-belt era in the SHOWTIME PPV main event Saturday night from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in an event presented by Premier Boxing Champions.

"To be honest, I never wanted to be an Olympic gold medalist," Crawford said. "Midge and BoMac, they wanted me to stay in the amateurs and win a gold medal because they know how tough it is coming out of Nebraska. I wanted to be a world champion."

"He thinks he’s gonna bulldoze me and break me, but he’s gonna have to show me. All of that talk is fuel to the fire that’s already burning. He’s gonna have to prove everything that he’s saying come fight night.

His next fight took place before a sellout crowd of 5,092 at the Theater of Madison Square Garden on February 27, 2016, against Hank Lundy. Panned as a second-rate fight for the undefeated Crawford, the bout picked up considerable steam in the weeks leading up to the telecast as Lundy boldly predicted a knockout win. Crawford successfully defended his light welterweight title with a fifth-round TKO of Lundy. Crawford connected with 89 of 247 punches (36%), compared to 47 of 411 for Lundy (22%). Crawford won a fast-paced first round, finally sending Lundy down in a corner in the fifth round. He beat the count, but the bout was soon stopped by referee Steve Willis at 2 minutes, 9 seconds. Crawford spoke out about his feud with Lundy on social media, "He and I had gone back and forth on Twitter for like a year. I just wanted to shut him up for good." Crawford earned $1.21 million and Lundy earned a $150,000 purse. Although there was a lot of tension pre-fight, Lundy approached Crawford after the fight and showed respect. The fight averaged 982,000 viewers on HBO and peaked just over 1 million viewers.

"Every belt I’ve gotten I’ve taken from somebody. I beat champion after champion. I’m going through the ringer fighting the best guys in my division. There’s a big difference between facing a champion and someone without a belt. The guys with the belts have a lot more to fight for.

There were those who didn’t believe in him going into the fight with Spence. The narrative from those was old and tired, that Spence was too big, too strong and had too much of a jab for a guy who used to be a lightweight to handle.

Leaving Top Rank following multiple title defenses, Crawford became his own promoter. It resulted in an anticipated undisputed title fight in July 2023 against Errol Spence Jr. Crawford decimated Spence for about nine rounds, knocking him down multiple times to win the IBF, WBA, WBC, and Ring belts. Now, he looks for a new division to conquer.

In the ninth, Terence Crawford as lefty went in. A right uppercut was one of the damaging blows as MM hit the floor 22 seconds in. A sweeping right landed, MM went to the mat, and the ref, Ricky Gonzalez, waved his hands. He saved the loser some brain cells.

"I'm excited about this opportunity," Crawford told ESPN. "I was really looking forward to the Errol Spence fight. I started communicating with Al Haymon and PBC back in June. Crawford double jabs but doesn’t land, but then lands a counter to Porter’s counter. Crawford pokes the jab but can’t fight the range, but then times a left hand that meets Porter coming in. Now Porter mauls Crawford on the inside during a clinch. Right to the body lands for Porter. Porter comes forward with a series of shots as Crawford covers up at center ring, smiling. Crawford literally pushes Porter back without a warning from the referee. Porter getting into more rough and tumble action with Crawford here which is what we’ve used to seeing from him. Crawford attacks but mostly misses. I think Porter got the better in that round.
