Anticipation built. Intensity heightened. Those minutes remain, regardless of how you view boxing and its supposed health, the most electric in sports. Finally, after six years of stalled negotiations, after a fateful phone call between both fighters sealed the fight everyone with a pulse desperately wanted to see, after the squabbles and debates and the hype train barreling down to Vegas, Spence and Crawford bounced inside the same ring.

Round 3: Tellez with a combination that Garcia just eats. Garcia pops Tellez’s head back with an uppercut. Good 1-2 by Tellez. Garcia throwing that uppercut every time Tellez attacks the body. Whoa, right hand from Tellez just freezes Garcia, but he only squats without falling. As Garcia straightens up, he eats another hard shot and there’s the knockdown. Garcia answers the count, but he is in big trouble. Tellez pours it on and it’s not getting any better for Garcia. The referee has to step in.

The Ugas fight was Spence's first since he underwent surgery in August 2021 to repair a detached retina. He was set to fight the legendary Pacquiao that month but withdrew from the matchup because of the eye injury. Spence came back better than ever, though, just like he did when he recovered from a serious car crash in October 2019 that threatened to jeopardize his career.

Post-fight, Crawford showed his respect for Spence stepping up to the plate and making the super fight happen and spoke to the historic nature of the matchup, while Spence expressed his interest in a rematch later this year.

Crawford double jabs but doesn’t land, but then lands a counter to Porter’s counter. Crawford pokes the jab but can’t fight the range, but then times a left hand that meets Porter coming in. Now Porter mauls Crawford on the inside during a clinch. Right to the body lands for Porter. Porter comes forward with a series of shots as Crawford covers up at center ring, smiling. Crawford literally pushes Porter back without a warning from the referee. Porter getting into more rough and tumble action with Crawford here which is what we’ve used to seeing from him. Crawford attacks but mostly misses. I think Porter got the better in that round.

Carl Frampton thinks Crawford is not just the pound-for-pound king right now but of this era: "This is a big statement, but most people would agree that Floyd Mayweather was the fighter of our generation – I think Terence Crawford is now the fighter of our generation. I think that performance would have beaten Mayweather at welterweight."

With the win, Crawford unified the WBA, WBC and IBF titles with his WBO title and more importantly closed a longstanding debate over whether he or Spence was the best 147-pound fighter of the era. bud crawford fight results, who is also a former undisputed junior welterweight champion, also became the first male fighter to ever achieve undisputed status in two weight divisions in the modern four-belt era.

Round 7: Some scattered boos start to rain down from the crowd. Madrimov marches him into the ropes but can’t do anything with it. Lots of feinting and circling in this round. Slick counter by Madrimov. Now the boos are really picking up. Crawford goes one-two. Another combination by Crawford. He slams a left hand into Madrimov. On November 20, 2021, Crawford staked his claim as the world’s top welterweight with a two-knockdown, 10th-round TKO of two-time world champion Shawn Porter. It was the first time Porter had ever been stopped in his career.

Crawford’s trainer warns him not to allow Porter to get off combinations while he just covers up. Both fighters trade and land to start the round. Left hook lands for Crawford. Hard right hook lands to the body for Crawford now. Crawford attacking more here and now Porter charges back but gets tangled with Crawford along the ropes. Crawford goes to the body with a left hand. Clean left hand from Crawford lands on Porter. Porter tries a big right hook that doesn’t land. Another head clash and this time Crawford is cut above his brow. Two punches from Crawford miss. Crawford lands a combination on Porter coming forward. Porter presses through and wants to dig it out on the inside. Chopping left lands for Porter on the inside.

"I cannot wait to get back in the ring in my fourth weight class and remind the world why I’m the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world," Crawford said. "Israil Madrimov is a tremendous and entertaining fighter, but on August 3, he will be my next victim. This is the Terence Crawford era."

Round 1: They touch ‘em up and we’re off. Crawford opens by switching stances and snapping off a left hook. Madrimov backs him up into the corner then resets. Madrimov jabs to the body.
